The Hawk Talk
'Together, We Can Make a Difference.' January 10, 2020
Principal's Point
WIth the start of a new year, there are so many great opportunities. Hawk Nation, let’s take every step needed to ensure we continue the success we had in the first semester. Here are a few things we can do to ROCK OUT in 2020! Focus on:
Attendance - Students are at school everyday and on time. Leaving early is the same as being tardy.
C.O.R.E. - Making good choices is the foundation of continued growth.
Effort - Sometimes the effort of getting started is the key to finding success. I have used the #GOGETIT tag all year with teachers to remind them that great things don’t just come to us. If we want greatness, we have to go get it and keep pushing forward no matter how tough things get.
HAWTHORNE, this is our time to shine and the keys listed above are going to be how we ROCK 2020! Have a great weekend!!! Mr. Butler

MSD of Warren Twp. High Ability Program
Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here. If you would like to complete a recommendation for the broad based planning committee to consider you can do so here 2020-2021 High Ability Parent Recommendation Form The parent recommendation form will be open until January 31, 2020.
