During the 2023-2024 school year, we are engaging in a comprehensive strategic planning process. The strategic plan acts as a roadmap for our District that will identify our vision, common goals, and unified direction for our district’s educational efforts.

Community-wide involvement is vital to the strategic planning process. We are seeking the diverse perspectives of families, staff and community members! We hope you will join us at one of our upcoming community forums!

Absences can be a sign that a student is losing interest in school, struggling with school work, dealing with a bully or facing some other barrier holding them back from academic success.

The Bremerton School District celebrates Apple Cup Rivalry Day on the last day of school before Thanksgiving break. Students, staff, and families are encourages to show their school pride by wearing their favorite school's colors and submitting photos for the highlight reel. Those who are not fans of the Huskies or the Cougars are encouraged to wear colors or attire for their favorite local school, college or professional team!

If you haven't already, please take a moment to log-in to Skyward and complete the annual Federal Impact Aid survey for your student(s). If you'd prefer a paper copy, please contact your child's school.

Step-by-step instructions for accessing and completing the survey are posted on the District website. If you need help accessing Family Access in Skyward, please contact your child’s school. Bremerton School District's Restorative Program is working to create a learning environment where all of our scholars feel cared for; a place absent of violence, bigotry, and hate.

If we are going to create a healthier, happier school climate, close the achievement gap, and create competitive workers and forward thinking citizens, we all have to work together to create our own "beloved community." With care and compassion driving us, partnered with the use of restorative practices, we will transform our schools.

The Beloved Community Listening Circle scheduled for December 13, 2023 has been cancelled. The next is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10. The Peninsula Community Health Services clinics at Mountain View Middle School and Bremerton High School provide services to Bremerton School District students (Preschool - 12th grade) and staff. PCHS can bill most insurance companies. Learn more at BremertonSchools.org/Clinic.

In an effort to ensure that all of our students have timely, affordable access to mental and physical healthcare, we are partnering with a health services program called Hazel Health.

With parent or guardian permission, students can speak with a Hazel mental health professional or have an on-demand medical visit at home or at school. We invite you to learn more here!

Gaggle Therapy is a free, confidential option to connect with a therapist online and on your schedule. Bremerton School District students and staff can meet with a therapist for weekly video or phone therapy sessions. Parents or staff can refer students, or students age 13 and older can self-refer! Background photo: View Ridge Elementary Arts Academy fifth graders took the stage earlier last month to tell the story of "The Grunch," a musical about a boy who tries to sabotage the school musical by stealing all the sets, lights, and props.
