Our Back to School Night will be a virtual event on August 26th. Times may vary. Your child's teacher will be sending out a link to your class meeting.

We are in need of yoga mats and wagons for lunch time. Donations can be dropped off at the school office. Thank you!!

We will hold virtual back to school conferences Septembe 2nd - 3rd. This is a chance to meet with your child's teacher if you were unable to attend Back to School Night. If you would like to schedule a conference please contact your child's teacher.

September 2nd - 3rd will be minimum days for all students. Release times are below:

Hello Sunset Ridge families!

The SRE Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited to welcome you back to school this fall, and for those that are new to SRE-- you’ve made it! You’ve found a great place, and we’re so happy to have you join our amazing community.

My name is Ryan Parham and I am the 2021-22 PTO President for Sunset Ridge. My twins just finished 5th grade after starting their journey in TK right here at SRE. My youngest is starting 4th grade, and can’t wait to see his teachers and race his friends around the playground again. My family jokes that we came for the TK, but stayed for the people-- it truly is a great place.

What the PTO strives to do is support the teachers and school so that every student has the best experience possible. Be it field trips and adventures, music and art classes, new library books and visiting authors, or any of the other many opportunities the PTO sets up throughout the school year. We try our best to make it all happen, and we cannot do it without your support. We will be starting a Direct Donation campaign soon, and we hope that when the call goes out for volunteers that you’ll be able to pitch in.

There is a PTO website you can use to easily track upcoming events and volunteer opportunities: srepto.org While there you can also shop for Spirit Wear, view the lunch menus and latest School Board emails, access the Staff and Teacher Directory, and much much more. It’s been an unprecedented year and a half, and we in the PTO hope that you’ll join in to help make up for that lost time-- for our kids, for our families, for our teachers, for our school. They all deserve nothing but our best efforts. Thank you for your time, and I’ll see you at school!

¡Hola familias de Sunset Ridge! La Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO, por sus siglas en inglés) de SRE se complace en darle la bienvenida a la escuela este otoño, y para aquellos que son nuevos en SRE, ¡lo lograron! Has encontrado un gran lugar y estamos muy contentos de que te unas a nuestra increíble comunidad. Mi nombre es Ryan Parham y soy el presidente de la PTO 2021-22 de Sunset Ridge. Mis gemelos acaban de terminar el quinto grado después de comenzar su viaje en TK aquí mismo en SRE. Mi hijo menor está comenzando el cuarto grado y no puedo esperar para ver a sus maestros y correr con sus amigos por el patio nuevamente. Mi familia bromea diciendo que vinimos por el TK, pero nos quedamos por la gente, realmente es un gran lugar. Lo que el PTO se esfuerza por hacer es apoyar a los maestros y la escuela para que cada estudiante tenga la mejor experiencia posible. Ya sean excursiones y aventuras, clases de música y arte, nuevos libros de la biblioteca y autores visitantes, o cualquiera de las otras muchas oportunidades que el PTO establece durante el año escolar. Hacemos todo lo posible para que todo suceda y no podemos hacerlo sin su apoyo. Pronto comenzaremos una campaña de Donación Directa y esperamos que cuando se realice la llamada de voluntarios, usted pueda colaborar.
