WMS Weekly Update Sept. 29, 2023

Good Afternoon WMS Families:

Afterschool activities will begin on Tuesday, October 10th. Activities will run from 2:30PM – 3:30PM. It is the student’s responsibility to sign up for an activity in homeroom the day of the activity. A late bus will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for bus eligible students. If a bus student does not sign up in homeroom, they will not be eligible to ride the late bus home. A list is generated in the morning and sent to the bus company. No additions can be made to the list after the list has been sent to the bus company. Students and Parents may look in Aspen to see where the students late bus stop is. Late bus stops are NOT a student’s regular bus stop. Please make sure your student knows their late bus stop. Students may only get off the bus at their assigned late bus stop.

Tuesdays:

• Retro gaming club, Mr. Duquette
• Art Club, Ms. Stevenson
• Jewelry making, Ms. McLoughlin
• Grade 5 Lego club, Ms. Masse
• Grades 5 & 6 HW club, Ms. Chase
• Coloring club, Ms. Sanpietro, Ms. Campbell
• Student Council, Ms. Cannata (start date TBD)
• Grades 5 & 6 game club, Ms. Geysen & Ms. Ayrassian
• Grade 5 & 6 Sports writing, Mr. Champagne
• Chorus, Ms. Silva

Thursdays:

• Yearbook club, Mr. Duquette, Ms. Medeiros
• National Junior Honors Society, Ms. Ramos, Ms. Boyer
• Grade 5 & 6 Fashion club, Ms. Heal
• Grades 7 & 8 Sports Writing, Mr. Champagne

Additional clubs may be available at a later date.

• The Seal of APS will begin offering eligible students the Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy. We are pleased to inform you of Attleboro Public Schools' participation in the Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy for the 2023-24 School Year. The Seal of Biliteracy is offered to any graduating student who demonstrates proficiency in English and any other language, whether they speak or sign the language other than English at home or learned it at school or in the community. We look forward to honoring the language expertise and diversity in our district through this initiative. Click below for more info on the seal.
