Recent feedback from ‌parents‌ ‌indicated ‌there‌ ‌were‌ ‌too‌ ‌many‌ ‌emails‌, leaving parents feeling a‌ ‌bit‌ ‌overwhelmed,‌ ‌many‌ ‌times‌ ‌ignoring‌ ‌them altogether.‌ The‌ ‌data‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌streamlined‌ ‌and‌ ‌updated‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Dashboard‌ ‌providing‌ ‌easy‌ ‌access‌ ‌to‌ ‌all‌ ‌families.‌ ‌

What constitutes moving from one risk level to another?

Due to the ever-changing factors, we have general positivity rates that we look at to determine movement from one risk level to another. Consideration of movement to the next level will be evaluated when the percentage of positive is in the ranges indicated below. These percentages are not definitive but will be the general range of consideration.

Green Level of Risk: 0-5%

Yellow Level of Risk: 6-10%

Red Level of Risk: 11%+

***In addition to COVID, there are increasing cases of Influenza and Strep. The best way to help prevent spread is to keep your child home from school if they aren't feeling well.

On Saturday, January 29th, the Blair Oaks R-II School District will be having a ceremony to commemorate the opening of the Blair Oaks High School.

Open House ~ 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Dedication Ceremony ~ 11:00 a.m. (HS auditorium)

Ribbon Cutting ~ following the Dedication Ceremony

Refreshments ~ 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.

The District will be recognizing the Blair Oaks R-II School District Board of Education, school personnel, community leaders, contractors, and subcontractors during the ceremony.

The public is invited to attend.

Blair Oaks R-II Preschool will be opening in August 2022. We are excited to get the program started and to be able to serve our district families. Attached is a form that has specific information regarding the preschool program.

If you have a child who will be turning four years old before August 1, 2022, they are eligible to enroll in the preschool program.

If you have a child who is eligible (whether you are interested in participating in the program or not), please fill the form out, so the district has updated information to use moving forward in the planning process.

Seniors are down to their last 5 months of high school. Below is the list of dates that seniors and their parents need to be aware of as May approaches.

May 12th and 13th - Senior Finals

May 13th - Last regular school day

May 19th - Senior breakfast, followed by graduation practice 8:30 a.m.

May 16th, 17th, or 18th (one of those dates) senior trip TBD

May 22nd - Graduation 7:30 pm
