Total Books Checked Out through September
All Students Had Access to Books within the First 6 Days of School
English classes visit the library
Every English class visited the library within the first 6 days of the school year. As a result, our book checkout numbers are rising quickly As you can see from the image agove, well over 2,000 books have been checked out since the first day. Our goal is to keep that number rising by 1,000 or more per month.
At the 8/9 level, students can check out multiple books at a time for a period of two weeks; furthermore, they can renew items online one time by logging into the online catalog using their Google accounts.
Tech Teens & Student Library Advisory Committee
Our most invaluable resource
Our tech teens are such an integral part of the library. Assisting us in all things technology related, our SV tech teens handle computer issues, Chromebook resets, cable management, etc. In fact, this year, our tech teens were solely responsible for getting our computers up and running for student use.
Student Library Advisory Committee members help create displays, manage library resources, and assist with library programming. They just finished up the Hispanic Heritage Month and Homecoming Enchanted Forest displays, and are preparing for the upcoming Fall Read & Feed.
If your SV student is interested in becoming a tech teen, they can fill out the application below.
