Good morning E.O. Green Families,

We had a successful first week. Thank you for ensuring your student is wearing a mask, wearing appropriate school clothing, bringing their charged Chromebook and the charger. Friendly reminder that if your student has a COVID-19 symptom, he/she stays home. Thanks for your support.

We appreciate our outstanding educators and staff at GREEN for all the preparation it has taken to be ready to open our campus safely. Excellent collaborative work by all!

Today we are distributing Quarter-3 report cards to students in Cohort A. Tomorrow, Tuesday, students in Cohort B will receive their report cards. Please take time to review the grades your student earned. Please celebrate the small and significant accomplishments. We must keep in mind that quarter 3 was all virtual and grade-marks might not be as you expected due to the pandemic. We want to continue understanding that this year has been difficult for our students. We are here to provide further guidance if needed.

Please help us remind students that they may use the street light if they are crossing C street. It has a button they push to activate the pavement lights.

Families, HESD partnered with VCPH to bring a COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Clinic to our district. The mobile clinic will be set up at Parkview Elementary on Friday, April 30, then again at E.O. Green JHS on Friday, May 14. Please see attached flyer below.

This week we are administering in the last period the Spring Panorama Survey April 26- April 30.

Finally, The City of Oxnard plans to resurface some streets around our school area; please plan accordingly. City of Oxnard 805-385-8280.

Students are encouraged to wear uniforms, but non-uniform attire is optional if you have outgrown your school uniform. Please review the guide below. The first two pages describe the uniform policy and the third page describes the non-uniform dress code policy and items to avoid wearing on campus.

Future Leaders of America, Inc. “FLA” – cordially invites you to apply to our Youth Leadership Conference for students residing in the Central Coast cities of Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Oxnard & Port Hueneme.

The challenging five - day program will take place:

August 2 - 6, 2021
Daily from 12 - 3 PM


Through our leadership training, we hope to challenge you in such a way that you will continue to strive for higher goals and continue on your path to excellence. The program will help you develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and valuable leadership skills. You will discover not only what it means to be a student leader but how to be a responsible citizen as well.

To be considered for the FLA Leadership Conference, you must meet the following requirements:

• Demonstrate a commitment to leadership and personal success.
• Have a grade point average of approximately 2.5 in your school coursework.
Please contact our Youth Organizer if you do not fulfill this requirement
• Submit a completed application

Applications are due no later than April 30, 2021.

Once you have successfully completed the program, you will be a “Future Leader” and will be eligible for all FLA programs throughout high school and college. You will have access to a student network of over 8,000 alumni willing to mentor you through your high school and college careers. You will also have the opportunity to travel throughout California and attend university seminars at prestigious universities such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Stanford, and meet nationally recognized leaders. The opportunities abound for you in FLA are endless. Take the challenge and apply today!

Future Trio Students,

Are you interested in joining TRIO? TRIO is a program offered at EO Green to help support students through their education. Students will receive important information about high school and college with consistent guidance over the years. If you are interested in TRIO, please fill out the form as soon as possible. Students already enrolled in TRIO don't need to fill out an application.
