Mill Valley is a top-notch school for so many reasons, such as building partnerships with families, highly engaged students, exemplary staff and strong academic success.

We are very excited and proud to share some highlights from our 22-23 Wisconsin Forward Exam results!

Here are some highlights:

• Mill Valley is #2 in achievement (% of 3rd & 4th grade students proficient/advanced) for Mathematics out of all Waukesha County elementary school.
• 86.6% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were proficient/advanced in mathematics. 46.9% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were advanced. (Statewide average 41.1%)
• Mill Valley is #1 in achievement (% of 3rd & 4th grade students proficient/advanced) for ELA (English Language Arts), out of all Waukesha County elementary school.

• 76.8% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were proficient/advanced in ELA. (Statewide average was 39.2%)

The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 15, 2023. Christmas Clearing Council (CCC) matches Waukesha County families that can use some help with Christmas gifts with families or organizations that are more able to help out for Christmas gifts.

We are so excited to kick off a new season of Destination Imagination (DI) in the Muskego Norway School District! DI is an international program that allows kids of all ages to be involved in creative problem-solving. If you participate in DI, you will join a small team with other students from your building to solve an open-ended problem, or “challenge,” and then present your solution at a tournament.

• likes to write creatively

• likes to draw and make things

• As a coach, your role is to give direction, not to solve the actual problem. The students are to solve the problem as a team.

• You will organize meeting dates and times for team of students to work on the problem in person after school hours or on the weekends.

Several parents have asked if they could make a candy donation - Yes, if you wish to donate candy, please drop it off at the main office by 10/23 and we will distribute the candy to the cars that have signed up.
