The picture below shows messages of gratitude from all of our Alamo School students. Turkey on the Table is a book & activity that encourages students to express and display their appreciation. Not only did the students experience the benefits of being thankful, but the purchase of the turkeys will also provide ten meals to someone in need with each Turkey on the Table sold.

We hope all of our Alamo Families enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving break. We have a four-week push till Winter break, so hang in there!

Alamo School's HOLIDAY SHOP is around the corner on December 9th from 4-6 at Alamo Elementary in the MPR. To make this a success for all of our kids, we need your help:

• We need your Gift donations by December 2nd! Anything from jewelry, sports items, barbecue stuff, handmade products, candles, books, puzzles, beauty products, games, toys…you name it, we need it! If you can get your company to make any donations whether it’s products, gift cards, or money so that we can purchase items, we need it! Go through your house and see what you might already have. Drop all donations to the office no later than December 2nd.

• Volunteers! We still help decorating, clean up, and gift wrapping help the night of the event. Please view the sign-up genius and volunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090C4EADAD2CA5FE3-holiday

• Kid Vendors! In addition to the Holiday Shop, we will have a separate area for kids to set up a table as a vendor and showcase their homemade products. They can set their price point and all proceeds go directly to them. All we ask is that they donate one item to the holiday shop. Vendor tables will be limited, so please don't hesitate to reach out as soon as possible to reserve your spot. The vendor tables are for kids 18 and under. • Shopping helpers (Elves)! We need older kids (6th grade and up) to come and help the younger kids shop. We would love if all kids can be in a holiday hat or attire to stand out. Each of them will wait at the door and help the younger kids by bringing them in to help shop for their parents. Need them to arrive by 3:45. • Holiday Shop Chairperson! If you are interested in learning how to throw this event, you can learn from us this year and next year you can be in charge of Holiday Shop! Alamo Elementary School is working once again with our Sister School- Dover Elementary. There are 15-20 families who are either homeless or in transition to foster care and we would like to help. Special thanks to the Scott Family and Grocery Outlet for providing a discount on gift cards we purchase and to our Sister School Ambassador Bar Minze for her dedication to Dover Elementary Families in need.

Giving Tuesday: Tuesday, November 30th is Giving Tuesday. Please consider giving to Alamo in a number of ways. We have an Amazon Wish List set up for classroom items our teachers would love to have! Please read the instructions here on how to access and purchase items from their list to be sent directly to the school. This list will be available year-round and items are added as needed. (*Use Amazon Smile to earn even more funds for our school!*).

You can also donate directly to the Annual Giving Campaign here or write a check to “Alamo Ed Fund” and deliver it to the office at any time. Submit a corporate match form to your employer if applicable.

Retail review: Thank you to all who purchased items at 5 Little Monkeys! This easy giveback earned us $192.95! We also recently received our Q3 funds from Amazon Smile for $250.73-hooray! Please consider joining one or more of our retail giveback programs. Retail and restaurant giveback events normally net us close to $2,000 each year! Every purchase helps us reach our budget goals.

A reminder that all of your generous donations - whether by direct donation or through our retail and corporate match programs - allow us to continue to fund our classroom paraeducators, art and music programs, reading intervention specialists and more! These individuals truly make Alamo Elementary a special place, help support our teachers and students and provide a well-rounded education for all students.
