A Message from our Superintendent
First, I would like to thank everyone who helps contribute to the education of our students and for supporting a positive and healthy learning environment. Tenino is a fantastic community, dedicated to the care and safety of our students and staff. As 2021 comes to a close, we look forward to a new year filled with hope and optimism. The Tenino School District continues to focus on the positive aspects provided for our students for the 2021-22 school year. We believe that focusing on the positive will yield positive results for our students. We believe that our students deserve to be surrounded by caring adults who are hopeful, optimistic, and positive. Lastly, we believe in the importance of building resilience within our staff, students, and community so that we will continue to thrive.
I am honored to serve as the Superintendent of the Tenino School District and continue to be impressed by our students and their passion for all things Tenino! Please enjoy the next few weeks to focus on all of the good things that are happening in our community.

Inclement Weather Update
Tenino School District Families,
Every year, inevitably, snow or severe weather conditions lead to a delay in school start times or the closure of our school buildings. We want to keep you updated about those decisions and strive to inform you as soon as possible of a school schedule change. Please see the link below to read an Inclement Weather Update from our Superintendent. You can find additional information on our website as well.
The Importance of Student Safety
Tenino School District Families & Staff,
As you know, earlier this week, we were made aware of some serious threats circulating on social media. The generic rumors about a possible school shooting (no specific school) tomorrow (12/17) were reported. We immediately reached out to the Tenino Police Department who continue to work closely with our district and are a fantastic partner in helping ensure school safety. Please see the link below to read an update regarding these threats and what we are doing to ensure the safety of our students and staff. If you See Something, Say Something.
Tenino School District Capital Levy-Facts & Information
The Tenino School Board has unanimously agreed to place a Technology & Safety Replacement Levy proposal before voters on the February 8, 2022 Special Election ballot. Capital levies are the primary funding source to ensure that every student has a safe, welcoming learning environment. School districts receive limited state or federal funding for improvements to school buildings.
The District relies on voter-approved capital levies to fund school construction and renovations, safety and security upgrades, building systems improvements, and major maintenance.
Capital levies provide most of the funding for important classroom technology and support for student learning, district technology systems, and technology infrastructure.
