I have lived in Lowman 24 years full-time with Sheri. I have been retired from the retail services industry for 7 years. My dog and best buddy is Romo. In my free time I help take care of the church and cemetery grounds. I have been on the board for 10 years. I serve on the board because I feel like we are getting things done and making progress on our water system.

Larry Reynolds
I have been in Lowman for 30 years. The first 18 I was a weekender, and I now live here full-time with my wife Kathy. I was in the Army, then retired from Idaho National Guard in 2001 after 25 years of service. I was previously on the board for 6 years. Now I am the Water Operator. I volunteer because I feel I owe it to my community. I feel that the Lowmanites are great people that always pitch in and help their neighbors.

Summer Watering Schedule
Just a reminder! We are entering the hot, summer months where water conservation is important.
Our bylaws outline a schedule for all irrigation and outside watering:
Full-time Residents - 6-10am and 6-10pm on weekdays.
Week-end Residents - 6-10am and 6-10pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
In the event of an insufficient water supply, a total ban on outside watering may be imposed.

Fire Safety
As we are entering the hot and dry months of the year, it is a good time to take steps to prepare your cabin and property to mitigate the risks of a wild fire. NIFC has a site with many valuable resources - https://www.nifc.gov/.../fire.../wildfire-mitigation
Also, don't forget that we have an amazing group of volunteers with the Lowman Volunteer Fire District. With a $50 donation, they will respond to a cabin/property fire without charge. Without the subscription, you would be charged a service call. If you are interested in being included in this year's membership, you must submit a payment by July 31. You can get more information, and purchase a membership on their site - https://lowmanfire.org/
Summer Pictures
We are working on updating a binder of information for our water system. Board members will be walking through the subdivisions and taking a picture of each property to help us in identifying where hydrants are located during the winter months when snow covers water connections.
Snow Markers
Board members will be walking through the subdivisions to install snow markers this summer. They are 48 inch fiberglass poles that will help us find cutoff and isolation valves.
Have a Leak?
As soon as you notice a leak or unusually wet area, contact a board member. They can help you determine if the leak is on your property and your responsibility, or if it is part of our community system. Please contact a board member before beginning any repairs. You can email them at spwaassociation@gmail.com.
Backflow Preventer / Vacuum Breaker
Just a reminder, backflow preventers need to be installed during the summer months on all of your hydrants. They prevent water from your faucet or hydrant, which may contain contaminants, from backflowing into our community water system. These preventers must be installed in the summer and removed in the fall so that your hydrant does not freeze during the winter months.
You can purchase these on Amazon or at your local hardware store. Vacuum Breaker on Amazon.
Neighborhood Lunch!
Join us for a hot dog/burger potluck in the lower subdivision Common Area on September 16 to meet and connect with your Lowman neighbors! Hot dogs, burgers, buns, and condiments will be provided. Bring a side dish or dessert to share and your own drinks! Hope to see you there at noon on September 16!
