The von Trapp family was immortalized in the musical and film adaptation of “The Sound of Music,” featuring the story of Elisabeth’s grandfather, Georg von Trapp, and his second wife, Maria von Trapp. Today, Elisabeth is a talented singer, songwriter and performer who continues to share her family’s musical heritage with the world, releasing several albums of original music and well-known songs from “The Sound of Music.”

At the conclusion of your trip, you will receive an email from Virtuoso asking to rate your experience and to say a few words about your trip. This helps other travelers learn about different suppliers and destinations and also let's our team know how they're doing as well.

You may have heard, but the turnaround time for passports -- new or renewals -- is taking longer than usual, in most cases, up to 4 months. Also remember that many countries require 1-6 months left on your passport for entry into their country. This means if your passport expires in August 2023 and your international trip is in July 2023, you've likely got big problems.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently told Congress they're receiving 500,000 passport applications a week, a record number, and are having to increase staffing to accommodate demand.
