A capital projects replacement levy is on the February 8 ballot

This 2-year capital projects levy will replace the existing capital projects levy that expires at the end of calendar year 2022.

Collection for this levy will begin in 2023 and continue through the end of 2024.
The levy is projected to result in a decrease in taxes to the property owner when comparing 2021 to 2023.
The projected rate per thousand is $1.32 for 2023 and $1.26 for 2024.
The levy will generate $17,000,000 for the District's capital projects fund.
These funds would continue our work maintaining and modernizing school facilities and increasing opportunities for students and community by creating a school and community multi-use fitness complex at Mountain View Middle School.

The school and community multi-use fitness complex at Mountain View Middle School will include:

A synthetic turf field with natural filling for football and soccer
A full, competition-sized track with synthetic surfacing
A new multi-use field for soccer, baseball and fastpitch

The current facilities at Mountain View Middle School are used year-round by the school and community groups. Track and field conditions are poor, with flooding and muddy conditions on those surfaces much of the year. as shown in the photos below.
