Reading Month Welcome

Welcome to Reading Month 2025! We are excited for our students to attend Camp Read S'More! We have some fun activities planned for our students to participate in and help grow their love for reading. Reading Month packets will be sent out soon but the contents of the packet are also below. Below you will also find information on Spirit week, Literacy Night (please note it is taking place at Clinton-Macomb Library- South Branch this year!) and the Scholastic Book Fair including volunteer information. We look forward to a fun month at Camp Read S'More!

Literacy Night - SOUTH BRANCH THIS YEAR

Event Information

Chippewa Valley Literacy Night

Chippewa Valley Literacy Night will be held on March 4th at the Clinton Macomb Public Library.
This is for all elementary schools in the district.
Children will have the opportunity to hear guest readers and participate in fun centers/activities.
The event is drop in from 6-8 PM. Registration is not required.

Reading Bingo

Please work with your child to fill out the reading bingo sheet below. Make sure you fill out all the squares for a "blackout" bingo to earn the prize. The prize for filling out the bingo sheet is a free ticket to see a baseball game at Jimmy Johns Field.

Scholastic Book Fair - March 10th -March 14th

Event Information

Scholastic Book Fair

It's time for Cherokee's annual fall Scholastic Book Fair to benefit the Cherokee Library! This year the event will be held from March 10th to March 14th during school hours as well as during in-person conferences (thursday).

NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE BOOK FAIR. IT WILL BE EWALLET AND CREDIT CARD (DURING CONFERENCES) ONLY.

Please sign up for an eWallet starting February 17th by clicking here or the image below. You can load money onto your child's account with a credit card and invite others (friends and family) to add money. If you have money left over from last year you will need to transfer it back to the eWallet which should be an option while you are setting it up.
