Our engaging ScienceCast programs give you and your class the opportunity to interact with our knowledgeable instructors in real time as our TEKS-aligned programs capture the interest and imagination of your students.
Many ScienceCast programs are offered for multiple grade levels, with program content and activities tailored to meet the learning needs of each specific age group. Year-round and seasonal programs are available.

Adapt to Survive
Grades: 1-5

Ever wonder how snakes swallow their prey whole or how beavers cut down trees? In this instructor-led dialogue-based program, students observe taxidermy specimens, skulls, pelts and other natural items to uncover the ways in which animals are both physically and behaviorally adapted to survive, and thrive, in their habitats.
All About Chemistry
Grades: 2-12

Everything is connected! Discover the role that chemistry plays in a variety of subjects in science and technology. Your students will investigate chemistry connections to fields such as geology, astronomy, engineering and biology. The program also highlights exciting opportunities in STEM careers across the scientific disciplines.
All About Earthquakes
Grades: 3-12

Did you know earthquakes and volcanoes are related? In this ScienceCast we will discover how the same tectonic forces that cause earthquakes have the potential to create volcanoes. In this program students will learn all about the different types of plate boundaries, what types of waves are generated by an earthquake, and the different types of volcanoes on Earth. Join us for some explosive fun!
Fire & Ice
Grades: 2-12

This explosively entertaining program teaches about matter in a unique way. In this educator-led program, students will learn how matter changes when it is heated up using extreme heat or cooled down using liquid nitrogen. Students will explore matter, states of matter, physical and chemical change, the difference between heat and temperature, and the properties of mass, weight and pressure.
Monarch Migration
Grades: 2-6

Monarch butterflies undergo one of the longest migrations on Earth! Your students will learn about the basic biology and life cycle of these amazing insects as they uncover the secrets to their navigational know-how and explore what is causing the world wide decline of monarch populations.

Systems, Cycles and Storms with FOX 4 Meteorologists

We will explore weather and meteorology as a career live from the Rees-Jones Dynamic Earth Hall with the FOX 4 Meteorology team! Each month will show case two meteorologist from FOX4 as they cover monthly weather topics and how students can start their weather career simply from the backyard!
Super Hero Science!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane — no, it’s Superhero Science! Discover the science behind superheroes and their amazing powers with this interactive, Museum educator-led auditorium show. The program explores topics such as matter and energy, smart materials, magnetism, levitation and properties of light.
