It's just that easy!

For families whom have requested a change in their child(ren) attending in person or virtually, that change will take effect on January 25th, 2021 (The beginning of 3rd quarter).

Student will NOT report to school on

• Friday, January 22nd. (Staff work day)

Please do NOT pull into the Grewenow parking lot to pick up or drop off your student(s) before or after school. We have many students who walk through the lot to line up on the north playground, and we don’t want anyone to run the risk of hitting a walker accidentally. The only vehicles in the lot after school are our buses and they do not depart until after the majority of walkers are off school grounds.

Monday- Thursday: Start time: 7:25 AM
End time: 2:26 PM

Fridays: Early Release: 11:21AM

4K: Monday-Thursday: 7:25 - 10:35AM (only)

Guidance from Kenosha County Health Department and KUSD's Office of School Leadership

• All affected students and their families will receive timely notification via phone call
• All teachers will be using the district virtual platforms to that learning can shift to home for the duration of the closure/quaratine.

At this time, visitors are not allowed in KUSD buildings. If you need to turn something in or drop something off for your child, you can

• Drop something off, ring bell at Door 1 and place it in the Door way

If you need to pick your child up early, call the office ahead of time so we can have them ready. When you arrive, you can come to Door 1 and ring the bell, OR call the office, and we will send them out Door 1 (the new main entrance)

Each Gazette, we will share a tip for helping families talk with their students about virtual classroom etiquette. This edition, we offer the following tip:

Ask your child to show you an sample of work they complete today at school. Often these can be short writing excerpts, a Google Jamboard (slide), or a SeeSaw image/video. When they show you the work, ask:

• What did you find most interesting about completing this task?
• How did you get your answer? Tell me your thinking.
• How did you know your answer was correct?

MORE art supplies are in for ALL Grewenow students: Watercolor paints & oil pastels. Families can pick those items up along with any other supplies from their student's classroom teacher:

AFTER WINTER BREAK

• Thursdays 12:00 - 2:00PM and supplies are able to be picked up at the Main Entrance.
• Any day of the school week 7:15AM - 3:00PM, families may call ahead to make arrangements to pick up supplies for their student.
• ***Evening time arrangements can also be made with a call in advance on a limited basis***
