Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
This week, we had the opportunity to hear our concert band, jazz band, and percussion students perform on our new stage! It was such a joy to see our new space in use, but the evening proved even more special by the performances from our talented students. If you are available next week on Wednesday evening, make sure to come by the high school to hear our high school and middle school choir students. They are sure to provide a lot of joy as well!
Our anatomy students were busy this week participating in a lab that involved creating their own wounds. These kids are really creative! This activity helped them learn about how the skin heals. At one point, I was convinced we had an injured student, and I was looking for a way to quickly escort him to the nurse. Special shout out to Mrs. Wolfer for her work with the students during this activity. I think we may have some makeup artists in our building who will be working in movie production some day.
If you are available this Saturday, you may want to swing by the high school to be a part of the new gym dedication that will take place between the varsity boys' and girls' basketball games. This event is special as the district honors all of those who contributed to Bulldog Nation in the past while recognizing our bright future. This event should take place around 3:00-4:00 p.m.
I’m also sharing some amazing work from some of our Art IV students. BHS is fortunate to have talented students who plan to pursue post-secondary studies within the art field. They have been working hard finalizing their portfolios for final reviews. We’ve included some of those pieces in this week’s newsletter for you to enjoy.
Have a wonderful weekend.
In service to our Bulldogs.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING
- Starting next week, Monday, December 11 - December 15, we will have Batavia police cruisers parked near the school drop-off zones for all three schools in the mornings to fill with unwrapped toys for our Batavia students. Parents can pull up to drop off and will not even have to get out of the vehicle. Staff or officers will be located near the cruisers. Thank you for helping out!
