"Fall" into literacy, and join us for a fun evening dedicated to all things reading and writing! Students will be able to participate in a scavenger hunt on the walking path, make their own bookmarks, attend a fall-themed story time, and participate in other reading and writing activities. Parents will have the opportunity to learn strategies, tips and resources for nurturing the natural progression of literacy, learn about the framework, attend a session from the Grafton-Midview Library, and participate in their own make-and-take activities. There will also be a session for English Language Learners.
October 27 | West Fall Parties
- We are so excited to celebrate all our students' hard work with fun fall-themed parties! Be on the lookout for more information about your child's party from their homeroom teacher.
October 30 | Trunk or Treat | 5-6:30 p.m.
Midview families and friends are invited to join us along the Midview Middle School walking path for Halloween fun! We kindly ask that participants bring a donation of money or a non-perishable food item in benefit of the Backpack Program. Spearheaded by Our Lady Queen of Peace, this program has helped feed countless students in our community. Their commitment, as well as the planning efforts of the Midview Compass Committee and Key Club, have made this a special event our community looks forward to each year.
Veterans Day Yard Signs

Feature Story
Fourth Grade Picnic on the Playground
On September 28th, the fourth grade held its annual family picnic on the playground! The rain held off and we had a fun-filled evening! There was apple printing, face painting, information on accessing powerschool, corn hole, apple cider, tattoos, bubbles, Kona Ice and even Marco’s Pizza for sale!
The fourth grade teachers would like to extend a thank you to Marco’s Pizza in Grafton for their donation of the pizza. All proceeds from the Marco’s Pizza sales will be used to purchase items for our students. Also, thank you to our amazing face painters from the high school and our PTA for the donation of the bubbles! We are glad so many families were able to come and enjoy the evening!
Meet our School Resource Officer
On a personal note, I am the father of two children and my wife is a nurse with the Cleveland Clinic. In our spare time, my family and I enjoy exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. Also, I recently joined the Midview High School Baseball Program as an assistant coach for the Varsity Team. I have very strong ties to this community with family, friends, and fellow colleagues. I'm very excited to be a Midview Middie and look forward to a wonderful school year!
