Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month

April is known nationally as Autism Awareness & Acceptance month. Every year, the Hillside School community participates in activities to educate students about autism spectrum disorder, as well as promoting awareness and acceptance throughout the student body. As part of this year's Autism Awareness & Acceptance month at Hillside School, we are sharing the book Uniquely Wired by Julia Cook. This book details how the brain of a student with autism functions in a special way. The main character, Zak, has many gifts to share due to his uniquely wired brain. We would encourage you and your student to follow along with the video activity below!
