Green Meadow Update

March 12, 2023

Green MeadowUpdateMarch 12, 2023

Arrival Information for all Students

I hope everyone has had a chance this weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather.

As of tomorrow, March 13th, all students will be entering the building at 8:25 am (weather permitting). School buses arrive between 8:15 and 8:20 am. Parent drop-off should be no earlier than 8:15 am (unless students will be attending BASEC) as Green Meadow staff is on duty at that time. Parents who wish to come to school earlier with their children (prior to 8:15 am) must stay with their children until the staff is on duty.

Breakfast begins in the cafe at 8:15 and ends at 8:30 am.

All parents dropping off students and walking them to the entrance, should park at the Crowe Park lot. This allows for the safety of all adults and children.

Parents should not park cars in the fire lane as this constitutes illegal parking and may put students and staff at risk if emergency vehicles cannot come through. There are two handicap parking spaces for those who are eligible to use those spaces.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Kindergarten Informational Night

Green Meadow will be hosting a Kindergarten Informational Night for parents and guardians of rising Kindergarten students. This event will be held on March 16th, 2023 at the Green Meadow cafeteria and will run from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We hope to see everyone there.

Spring Fling Dance

Harlem Wizards Game

Important Dates

March 17th and March 31st will be Early Release Days at Green Meadow.

Students will be dismissed at 11:45 AM.

Pre-K PTO Enrichment Program 2022-2023: Music Therapy

The PK team, and Music Therapist, Alison Fields Troyer, have worked with the PTO to support their vision of inclusion in preschool through music therapy. This instructional model follows reverse inclusion.

Typically-developing children and children identified with intensive needs work together on language and social skills during weekly 30 minute small-group sessions. They use music, songs, and several communication strategies in order to bond with one another.

We are thrilled to be able to offer an enrichment program to all students that fosters a sense of community and friendship.
