We hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and summer is off to a great start! We have a few wonderful updates to share with you about exciting changes happening at Holy Cross Parish and School.

We are happy to welcome two priests that have been assigned by the Archbishop to Holy Cross. Fr. Abner Ables Jr., cs and Fr. Marcos Lopez, cs. They will join the parish on July 1st. Fr. Oswaldo will be speaking to the parish at every mass this weekend about the new priests and their roles.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Miss Anna Blase will be joining our team as our first-grade teacher. Please help me in welcoming her into our Holy Cross community. You will find her introduction below.

We are off to a great start to the summer planning for the 23-24 school year! We have made tremendous progress these past three years and with our new and current dedicated Holy Cross staff, we are going to continue to move mountains for these kids we love so much. The positive energy in the building is already contagious!

Our New First Grade Teacher

Anna Blase graduated from Benedictine College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in May, 2023. She is passionate about the Faith, and she desires to share it with those she teaches. She greatly enjoys working with kids, and she has experience working with children of all ages. She has observed and taught in both a first and second grade classroom, and she taught in a combined second and third grade classroom as a student teacher. She highly values building community within the classroom and getting to know each individual student. She is incredibly excited to join the Holy Cross team as a first grade teacher, and she looks forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff at Holy Cross Catholic School.

Anna Blase is the eldest of five kids, and her family is very important to her. Her love for education started with teaching her siblings, and she is thrilled to be the teacher she wanted to be as a child. In her free time, she loves reading, learning as much as she can, writing poetry, and hanging out with friends and family.

Thank you to our graduating 8th Grade Class!

Each year the 8th-grade class gives a gift back to the school to thank them for there time here at Holy Cross. The Class of 2023 saw a need for a new presentation projection screen. Thank you so much for this generous gift and we cannot wait to use it in our many incoming events including Parent Information Nights, Events, and Teacher in-services.

We were so blessed to work with all of these families and their children! May God Bless you always! Please come back to visit! We already miss you!
