Looking Ahead –

We are wrapping up Unit 5 and our study of weather and weather forecasting. This will bring us into the changing face of our planet and the topics of weathering, erosion, and deposition. These are key concepts to understanding why the Earth never looks the same from day to day.

Show and Tell science for the week – Orchids are a varied and unusual flower type. Check out the Dancing Lady Orchid (one of the Oncidium orchids) and then do some research into other orchid varieties. Bring your favorite to the next Class Connect to share with the class. Don’t forget the scientific name!

Hello 4th graders, this week we will continue with unit 3 – Colonies and Independence. During class on Tuesday, November 6th, we will discuss the accomplishments of Moses and Stephen F. Austin and learn about their impact on Texas. Please complete these 2 lessons this week:

· Lesson 3: The Austins

· Lesson 4: Colonies in Texas

Every week you will check the grade level newsletter to see which Music Studio lessons to complete. Just open Unit 1, Lesson 1 in the OLS and click the link to take you to Music Studio! (This is why everything in the OLS for Music EXCEPT for Unit 1, Lesson 1 has been marked skipped.)

Health/PE Update:

To help with your school day, we will no longer have our Health and PE CC. This is a great time you can spend working on your OLS lessons and TGAs.
