Looking Back –
We finished our study of weather by exploring how differences in air pressure along with temperature and humidity bring a wide variety of weather to us each day. We also found out how modern methods of gathering weather data allow us to predict what tomorrow’s weather may look like.Looking Ahead –
We are wrapping up Unit 5 and our study of weather and weather forecasting. This will bring us into the changing face of our planet and the topics of weathering, erosion, and deposition. These are key concepts to understanding why the Earth never looks the same from day to day.
Show and Tell science for the week – Orchids are a varied and unusual flower type. Check out the Dancing Lady Orchid (one of the Oncidium orchids) and then do some research into other orchid varieties. Bring your favorite to the next Class Connect to share with the class. Don’t forget the scientific name!
