All About Mrs. Matthews
I am so excited to be your first grade teacher this year! I hope you are ready for a FUN and EXCITING school year!
This is my 11th year teaching here in PISD and I have always taught 1st grade because I LOVE it! I am married to Joe Matthews and we just celebrated our 9th year of marriage. We have 2 boys, Kasen who is in second grade here at Aikin, and Kye who will be turning 4 in September! So I am surrounded by boys :)
5 Fun Facts about me:
1. Both of my parents work in PISD. Mr. Reeves works at Givens, and Mrs. Reeves teaches kindergarten here at Aikin with me.
2. We own Tropical Sno of Paris in downtown Paris.
3. I was born in Colorado.
4. I adore books, and you will discover that this year in first grade!
5. I have two dogs: Jaxx, a maltese, and Zoey, an english bulldog.
