September Superintendent Update

On Tuesday, August 29, we held our annual WUSD Staff Kick-Off day! We celebrated the new school year and presented our 2023 Years of Service Awards to staff members who have reached significant milestones.

Mr. John Schimming, was the recipient of the 2023 WUSD Inspiring Educator of the Year award! John is a 7th grade math teacher at WMS. He is known for his mentorship to his students and the many colleagues, athletes, and community members with whom he interacts. He also has an active role in growing the Whitewater wrestling program, specifically the girls’ division. Read the full article here.

We were excited to welcome back our 4K-6th grade and 9th grader students on Tuesday, September 5. And all grades on Wednesday, September 6. Let's have a great 2023-2024 school year!

Have you seen the schedule of this years’ Unplugged Events? New this year, we are inviting specific groups of our community to each event to tailor the conversation and maximize our time.

On October 18 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, we invite families to the Central Office for a casual conversation with Superintendent Dr. Caroline Pate-Hefty and our board members. This is a chance to share your input on the future of WUSD. We hope to see you there!
