7th Grade Girls Soccer
The 7th grade girls soccer team showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink socks for their games.
Featured Clubs of the Month
Computer Coding Club
Students have been working with the Hopscotch App to create their own games from scratch. They are applying the principles of computer coding to make characters that move and interact with the user. The students are having a blast and some have created some pretty cool games!
Patriots Club
The Patriots Club is selling long sleeve shirts for $15. All proceeds will be donated to The Wounded Warriors and Operation Home Front. All shirts will be worn on November 10th in honor of Veteran's Day.
Best Buddies
The Best Buddies Club is preparing for their Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Feast at Oceanside High School. The Feast takes place on Tuesday, November 10th at 6:00pm. All are welcome!
GSA
This wonderful display of students hand-prints is in our main lobby to demonstrate the importance of providing a caring and accepting community.
Special Events
OMS Reading Challenge
Students and staff participated in the OMS Reading Challenge where they accumulated hours by reading books of their choice.
7th Grade Adventure Park Trip
All 7th grade teams participated in activities at Adventure Park that fostered team building.
Oceanside Sailor Day
Students at OMS dressed up in blue and white to show their sailor spirit.
PTA Book Fair
The PTA organized a Book Fair for 7th and 8th grade students to visit and purchase books and other reading materials.
World Series Fever
OMS students cheered on the New York Mets as they entered The 2015 World Series.
Patriot Day
Students and staff at OMS dressed up in red, white and blue to display their patriotism.
Halloween Dance
Students at OMS dressed up in costumes and attended the Halloween Dance.

Red Ribbon Week
SADD put together Red Ribbon Week at OMS to bring awareness to students on alcohol, drug and violence prevention.

Students and staff at OMS joined together to raise money to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. T-shirts were sold and we had a cotton candy sale. OMS was able to raise $2,318 to donate to The Making Strides Foundation. Way to go, OMS!
