7th Grade Science
Students in Mrs. Eckhardt's and Mrs. Ciliberto's classes have been learning about impact forces, air resistance, momentum, and velocity. Students have been actively investigating how to construct a pod to reduce the impact force and protect the cargo inside of it when it collides with the surface. They have been exploring a simulation on Amplify Science's Futura, and they are taking what they have discovered to develop proposals for their selected design. What they learn from their research and experimentation will be used in future lessons as students engineer the perfect design for a pod for their "egg drop" experiment."
LCMS Music Department
On December 18th, students from the Log College Singers and the Log College Jazz Band performed at the Ben Wilson Senior Center in Warminster for their holiday celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity for our musicians to serve our community. They even got to meet Santa!
On Wednesday, December 20th, Log College musicians from the LC Singers and the Jazz Band spread holiday cheer to the residents of the Masonic Village nursing home in Warminster. The residents loved listening to the music and singing along!

Winter Sports
Dear Log College Families,
Winter Sports season is quickly approaching here at Log College. The Winter sports season runs from November through February and features four sports open to our 7th and 8th-grade students. Log College will be offering Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, and Cheerleading. We are pleased to announce that, for the first time (if enough students try out), we will have Junior Varsity (JV) teams for both boys and girls basketball, providing more students with the opportunity to participate in winter sports. It's important to note that these are not exclusively 7th or 8th-grade teams but are composed of a mix of both grades.
If your child is planning to participate in any of these sports, he/she must have a physical. No student may play or practice until a physical has been received.
PIAA sports physical -
All students must have a completed PIAA physical (dated after June 1, 2023). The physical forms can be downloaded from the link - PIAA Physical Form - Updated 3/22/23 (or you can pick one up from Mr. Corey, our athletic director or any LCMS coaches).
If you have already played a sport in the Fall, you do not need to complete a new physical, but you must re-submit section 7 (Re-certification by parent/guardian) from the PIAA physical form. This page does not require seeing a doctor or medical provider.
If you did not submit a PIAA physical in the Fall, you must complete Sections 1 to 5 within the PIAA sports physical packet. This must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian. Section 6 must be completed by an authorized medical examiner (family doctor, urgent care, minute clinic). You can ignore pages 7-8.
If you cannot find an appointment time with your doctor, you may use another provider or visit a CVS Minute Clinic or visit an Urgent Care center. The Centennial School District has a partnership with Liberty Urgent Care:
If you use any of the following Liberty Urgent Care centers and mention Centennial SD, your physical will only cost $20. (Locations listed below)
