When will students be able to play Gaga ball?
This year!
What is Gaga ball?
Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players the better! The game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, running, and jumping, while trying to roll the ball to get opponents out below the knees. Players need to keep moving to avoid getting hit by the ball. Fun, safe, and easy, everyone gets a serious workout.
How can you help?
Each student will be raising money (typically loose change) in order to raise funds for the Gaga ball pit. The class that raises the most money in each grade level gets a pizza party at the end of the fundraiser. The fundraiser will last from Tuesday, January 16 to Friday, February 9.
Science Fair Results
Congratulations are in order for the following students. We are proud of their hard work, scientific abilities and presentation skills. Fantastic work!
Snow Day Update
As you know, Berkeley County Schools has used four of the five traditional snow days it has built into the calendar. We have one traditional snow day left before remote learning begins for days six through ten that close school due to inclement weather.
Any instructional days lost past day ten will be either taken from spring break or added to the end of the school year.
Remote Learning Schedule
In the event we move to remote learning days (days six though ten), Potomack Intermediate will utilize the following schedule pictured below during remote learning periods. Students will begin to take iPads home when forecasts predict weather with the potential to close school. Students will learn where to find the links to gain access to their classroom teacher's and specials teachers' virtual classroom.
