A Note From Your Principal
As the new Principal of the Dennis Technical Education Center (DTEC), I am excited to begin the 2017-2018 school year and hope your children are as well. My name is Jason Hutchison, and I would like to welcome everyone to what is sure to be a wonderful school year full of new learning. This will be my 12th year as an administrator, having previously served as an Assistant Principal and Principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. The education of your children is our top priority at DTEC, and as the year progresses, I hope you will join our Staff in this noble endeavor. We are committed to treating your child as if he/she is our very own as we prepare our students for post-secondary success.
DTEC students and instructors were busy this summer! Fifteen of our students, along with six instructors attended the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Our students did a terrific job of representing DTEC, Boise School District, and Idaho. Be sure to check out their results below.
Additionally, our instructors attended a variety of industry-specific training sessions across the country and worked in their labs updating equipment to enhance opportunities for students.
The entire staff at DTEC is dedicated to academic, skill, and character development for our students. We firmly believe that in order to be successful, we must rely on a partnership with parents and the community. We look for every opportunity to engage you in the learning process both in and out of school.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions at 854-5810, or just drop by.
Sincerely,
Jason Hutchison

Support Requested for Welding Program
Donations of any size will help our students. Right now, any contribution you make to our project will be doubled by Tom’s of Maine. Your donation will help our students to measure the accuracy of each of their welds and assist them on their path to certification.
Here's our request: Welding Inspection Tools for Students!
To have your donation matched dollar for dollar , just make a contribution on that project page - donations will be doubled automatically, but only while funding lasts.
If you know anyone who is passionate about education, please pass this along. We greatly appreciate your support.
