Students who are "Caught Doing Good" get to add their kindness leaf to our Feinstein Kindness Tree each week. Last week, DES was awarded $6,500 from the Feinstein Foundation for having a Kindness Tree and Pantry in our school.

A wonderful resource that we use in Music class is also available at home. We have a school subscription to musicplayonline.com. On this website are musical activities and games that are appropriate for all students from grades K-4.

Here are some suggestions:

Kindergarten: "Up and Down, Loud and Quiet, High and Low

1st Grade: Any of the kindergarten activities plus Which Rhythm Do You Hear?, and Rhythm Racer

2nd and 3rd Grades: Any games/activities from the previous grade levels plus What Instrument Do You Hear? Rhythm and Solfa Practice

4th Grade: Any games/activities from the previous grade levels plus Coconut Chaos, Treble Clef Pop Quiz, Recorder and Guitar resources (in the "Instruments" category)

Some students in a grade 1 RTI group wrote a book called "We Love Oakie". They practiced reading it to the office staff, a couple K teachers, Mrs. Alberto and one of the TLC classrooms before they read to Oakie and Officer Hathaway.

Students in room 11 and 18 completed their January STEM challenge with friends.
