Mountainburg Schools

ADH and DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) have determined, as of February 1, that schools are no longer under the directive and may make the local decision to contact trace and quarantine individuals who are identified as probable close contacts. Isolation is still appropriate for those who have tested positive or are symptomatic for

COVID-19.

Mountainburg Public Schools will NOT contact trace and quarantine possible close contacts.

We will continue to ISOLATE if tested positive.

We are able to provide rapid testing for faculty, staff, and students with parent permission.

Faculty and students who are currently quarantined as possible close contacts are cleared to return to work/classes as soon as possible if symptom-free.

Individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 should:

• Stay home for 5 days
• If symptom-free return to work/school
• Continue to wear a mask around others through the 10th day
• If you have a fever, continue to stay home for 24 hours after the fever has resolved.

As we shift from pandemic to endemic mode we will continue safety precautions such as vaccinations, disinfecting, ventilation, physical distancing, face covering, and good hand hygiene, and maintain clean disinfected facilities to reduce the spread of any highly contagious illness. As always, if you are sick, stay home.
