DES Family Updates Summer Edition
8/3/22 News for You
Dear DES Families,
I hope you are all enjoying your summer!
We have been hard at work getting DES ready for the upcoming 22-23 school year. The summer camp program has come to an end and it has been heartwarming to see the students enjoying this experience each day! We are thankful for our partnership with Caroline County Rec & Parks and all of the staff that make this program possible.
Please be sure to read our updated DES Parent Handbook for important procedural information. Additionally, if you have not already reviewed classroom supply lists for 22-23 they are included in the link below.
This year our newsletter will focus on providing you with valuable resources which we hope will help you stay current on your child's educational and social-emotional well-being. Also, all important dates and information related to DES are provided in this newsletter. Thank you for taking the time to read AND SHARE our updates. We welcome your feedback and look forward to an amazing year with our families!
Sincerely,
Sarah Crebs

PICNIC WITH THE PRINCIPAL
The event will be held outside in front of the DES, with parking available in our school parking lot areas and Lupine Lane. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, bagged chips, and other fun activities (obstacle course, bounce house, games, etc) for students to enjoy. In addition, KONA ICE will be available for purchase (a percentage of the proceeds will be used for purchasing DES school supplies) and DJ Kodyk will be here to get us moving! We hope you can make it and we look forward to many new adventures at DES!
