No matter who you are and what experiences you have had, I am certain there is bound to be something new in store for you at IMS this year.
Our school community has much to offer and I encourage the children to stay involved or get involved in our school and community today. This involvement will help them pave the way for greater endeavors tomorrow.

On behalf of the entire staff of the Islip Middle School, I am extremely excited to welcome our students and families to the 2019-20 school year. I would be remiss if I did not extend a great big welcome to our new 6th grade students and families, we are eagerly awaiting for you to join the Islip Middle School family.
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for the opportunity to be the new Assistant Principal of the Islip Middle School. This year will present many firsts for all of us, as we celebrate an amazing learning expedition. Our adventures will begin when our students return on Wednesday, September 4th, for the first day of school. Student schedules have been posted on the portal prior to the start of school, so be sure they have a copy on the first day of school. Rest assured, if students are not sure where to go, or how to get somewhere, we will have ample staff around the building that are ready to help them get to where they need to be.
If you are reading this, you already know about our IMS Connection newsletter, but that is not the only way to keep up to date with everything happening at IMS. Our eBoard has up-to-date info on everything you need to navigate your time at IMS, but if any questions do arise, I invite you to reach out to me via e-mail or call me directly at (631) 650-8515.
Our annual Meet the Teacher night at IMS will be held on Tuesday, September 17th. Our presentation for parents of students enrolled in AIS will begin at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., parents will travel through the building on a condensed time schedule similar to students’ daily schedules. I look forward to meeting you that evening.
Our goal at IMS is to make every day an adventure where every student has an astonishing experience. We look forward to the opportunity to form meaningful partnerships with the entire Islip Middle School learning community, to make this goal a reality.

We are looking forward to celebrating all of your hard work and dedication.
Just a few tips to keep in mind:
This is an opportunity for a fresh start. Remember that it’s not only about your grades but your character here in the Middle school. Therefore always try your hardest, be kind, and attendance matters.
Oh... don’t think we forgot... We are planning to celebrate your forth quarter accomplishments from the 2018-19 school year in October for all 7th and 8th grade card holders.
