Updates on the Roofing Project

The roofing projects at the Elementary and High School are going extremely well. The projected completion date is July 21st. At this time there are a few items that I will ask you to approve at the July meeting that are additional costs including facia at the elementary, insulation at the HS, and safety ladders in order to reach each level of the roof. The total cost is estimated at less than $30,000.

I appreciate the daily work of Dustin Hoener in checking on the projects. His knowledge has ensured that mistakes were not made along the way. Additionally, I appreciate the support of Nick Godat in overseeing these projects.

I will keep you updated on progress at the projects come to a close. Below you will see pictures of the projects with a brief description. Please let me know if you have questions.

Policy to consider

The administrative team has had ongoing discussions regarding a transgender policy for the district. It is our recommendation that the Board consider a policy that aligns with our current practice. I will bring you a policy for first and second read at the July meeting. The policy we are working on is very conservative, aligns with current practice, and can be supported by our community.

With the recent event in a neighboring district regarding the transgender issue, we believe it is necessary to protect our district from a discrimination suit.
