Connect Your Learners to Reading Resources

You and your learners are currently enrolled in the "RJL Library: 2020-2021" Schoology course. Ideally, this will serve as a one-stop shop for access to all things library-related:

  • Relevant resources + activities
  • Tutorial videos
  • Read alouds
  • + More


Learners will also find a Google Form for "Readers' Advisory" within this course that they may fill out (whenever and however many times they need to) to receive personalized eBook recommendations.

Create MackinVIA Groups

Want your learners to be able to quickly access a concise list of articles and/or other digital resources related to a specific topic?


I can create a "GROUP" for that!

FAQ: WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR READING BOOKS ALOUD DURING VIRTUAL LEARNING?

The main things to keep in mind...

  • Recording yourself reading aloud a legally obtained resource, and sharing it with your learners via Schoology or Zoom can be acceptable.
  • Best practices are to give credit to the author, illustrator, and publisher in your recording.
  • Temporary permissions do not limit the scope of your ability to rely on fair use as an educator.
