PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
I trust this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am delighted to share some heartwarming news from our school community. We recently had the privilege of hosting two exceptional veterans at our school, and we extend this invitation to more veterans as Veterans Day approaches.
Mark Holden, a dedicated Navy veteran and my amazing cousin, and Jennifer Thielke, a proud Air Force veteran and the aunt of kindergartener Corinne, both devoted their lives to serving our country. Their visits were a truly touching experience as they led us in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance during our morning announcements and then toured our school meeting students and staff. The pride, respect, and gratitude that filled our classrooms were profoundly moving.
In celebration of Veterans Day, we warmly invite local veterans from our community to join us for a special moment during our morning announcements throughout November. We would be deeply honored to have you lead our students in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, allowing us to express our profound appreciation for your service. If you are a veteran or know someone who is, we encourage you to check the schedule linked below and sign up to join us. Your presence will undoubtedly mean the world to us as we pay tribute to your invaluable contributions.

Additionally, I am thrilled to share another exciting update regarding our recent Laps for Leadership fundraising event. To commemorate our incredible success, we will be tie-dying shirts tomorrow in a fun and creative manner. Each student will bring home their dyed shirts in a ziplock bag, complete with washing instructions, which are also provided below.
We appreciate your ongoing support in creating a vibrant and inclusive community at Eagle Crest Elementary. We eagerly look forward to honoring our veterans and celebrating our achievements together. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or require further information.
Wishing you all a fantastic week!
Warmly,
Amanda
