At this point in the year, our biggest challenge is time. In the next five weeks, we have to complete both state and local assessments, host a 5th grade science fair, a spring concert, a 3rd grade readers theater, a 5th grade field trip to Burnt Island, one last 4th grade field trip to the Maine Maritime Museum and wrap up 3rd grade swim lessons, to name just a few activities on our calendar! In this mad rush to the finish line it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that we are doing all of this for children who are excited and sad that the year is coming to an end. It is a good time to be aware of how the end of the year impacts your student. If you find that you need any support for your student, please reach out.
Even as we wrap up this school year, we must also begin preparations for the next. If you will be moving and your child will NOT be returning to Fisher Mitchell School or attending 6th grade at Bath Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year, please contact Ms. Holly at hspence@rsu1.org.
