Hazel Owens Elementary

We had an awesome time this week dressing up and celebrating Texas' Independence day, Dr. Seuss' birthday, and all of our classes who attained their 60th Eagle. It was a ton of fun to see all of the mini-teachers, counselors, and principals walking around campus on Friday. I think the best part was seeing everyone's interpretation of us!

We've got one more week until spring break and we're hoping to finish this week strong! We've seen a slight uptick in behavior this past week so take some time to talk with you student about behavior expectations in this final week so we can ensure that all students remain in the classroom setting.

Any prospective Pre-K students and their families should join us on Thursday, March 9th from 5:00-5:45 PM for an informational session, meet & greet with teachers and administrators, and a tour of our facilities and classroom. Whether you've already registered your student or are still undecided we'd love have an opportunity to meet you and answer your questions.

On Tuesday, March 7th, a district photographer will be on campus to take candid photographs of students and staff to update our hallway photo posters. We're not asking that your students dress "picture day" fancy, but we do recommend your students wear Owens spirit clothes and/or avoid casual athleisure on this day.
