Thank you to all the parents who organized and provided the wonderful dinner for staff during Parent Teacher Conferences. It was enjoyed by all and extremely appreciated! Thank you again very much!

For the month of February, our new Dean of Students (Ms. Inkmann), our School Resource Officer (Officer James) and our Assistant Principal (Mrs. Leshok) will take the opportunity to reteach some of our school expectations.

• Cell Phones should be kept in locker turned off
• Arrive to class on time
• Hands and feet are to be kept to self at all times
• Hoodies are not to be worn in school
• Shirts and sweaters should cover student's stomach completely
• Students should interact with staff and peers respectfully

Please help us in maintaining a safe learning environment for all students by reminding your children of our school-wide expectations.

The iCenter will again host a Tournament of the Books for March Madness this year. But unlike last year, we are getting the list of contenders out to you in time for some power reading! These are all quality books, many were chosen by students, and all are recommended by your librarian! Please encourage your students to read as many as possible, and in March we will see which title is our new champion!

Waukesha School District is teaming with Waukesha Public Library to offer extended services to our students. The young adult librarians will be here at Horning several times per month to offer Lunch Bunch to any interested students: games, activities, book talks. Students just need to sign up on the linked form and bring their lunch on the offered dates. We look forward to seeing you there!

Sixth graders will be going to Waukesha South High School on Wednesday, March 6th from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to see "Into the Woods." Students will be eating cold lunch in their Advisories when we return.

Join us for an night of skating with friends and family, while at the same time benefiting the HMS Student Council and HAWS! See flyer attached for more details.

Site Council is Horning’s family/parent advisory group. Our mission is to build our school community, and to support our learners, families, academics and activities. Feel free to contact us any time at horningsitecouncil@gmail.com. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the iCenter (aka Library). Please join us!
