Presents Educator of the Month Recognitions - November 2022
The Educator of the Month program is designed to recognize employees who: put others first; go above and beyond to make a difference in their role; carry out each day with a positive attitude and strong work ethic and demonstrate innovation, creativity, and passion for their job. There were many great nominations making the selection incredibly tough. Amazing things happening across the district and this highlights just a snapshot of all the reasons to be proud.
Please join us in congratulating the following employees on being awarded employee of the month for November. Congratulations to Ashley Cook, Jarek Speith and Marcy Robison. They each received a certificate of recognition, Alongi's gift card, DQ swag filled with candy and balloons!
Shout Out! Jarek Speith
Jarek is a janitor at DES. He is dedicated to the school and is a great asset and employee to the custodial staff. He is always helpful when asked anything, professional, polite, tackling any task with a smile on his face. He is always willing to go the extra mile when assisting students and staff. We are very lucky to have him as part of our DES custodial staff. He is one of the best!!! ~ Nominated by Sarah Phipps, Shaneille Piper and Allison Sims
Woohoo! Marcy Robison
Marcy is a special education teacher at Du Quoin High School. She worked with the Student Council students and colleagues to organize a health fair for the high school students as well as a Trick-or Treat event for high school organizations, hosted at the elementary school. She exemplifies by example of working to connect all students and adults. Mrs. Robison is always concerned for the physical and mental health of her students and colleagues. She truly cares about students and staff in District 300, and shows this through her efforts of the many activities she helps organize. ~ Nominator Anonymous
We are Proud of you! Ashley Cook
Ashley is a dedicated nurse to the DES and DMS students! She does all she can to make sure her students are taken care of and stay healthy. She gets them back to class as fast as she can, all while making sure they feel heard, cared for, and loved. Ashley is balancing work with her personal goal of getting her RN license, taking night classes and participating in clinicals, all while still being an amazing nurse for our younger students. As if that isn't enough, she still remains dedicated to church, and is an amazing mother. Ashley Cook is just getting it all done right now, and deserves a special shout out! ~ Nominated by Sarah McKinnies
