Report Card
The teachers will provide feedback on your child's progress using the 1-4 scale and may include comments. Given that Academic Learning Targets are end-of-year goals, many students will still be "Sometimes Demonstrates" (2) in February. All students need to be "Proficient" (3) by the end of the year to be fully prepared for the next grade level.

Notice of State Testing and Opt Out Rights
Each year students in grades 3rd – 8th and 11th graders in Oregon take the Smarter Balanced Assessment. The test measures student progress in language arts and math in regards to the state standards. Students in 5th, 8th, and 11th also take the state science assessment. While we encourage student participation in the test to help us better understand how our students are progressing toward meeting standards, parents have the right to opt out of the assessments.
