Meet our Counselor!
Hi everyone!
This is Mr. Rojas, the School Counselor at Farr Avenue elementary school. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the social/emotional development of all students. It is important to me that I work closely as a team with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure your student is receiving all the support they need to guide them through these elementary school years.
I've been fortunate to work within the school system for over 8 years. I started working as a clinician/therapist in 2018 and transitioned to work as a school counselor 2 years ago. I have an undeniable passion for school counseling and always knew this was my dream job.
I am extremely lucky to be part of this amazing Farr family and look forward to working with you all.
Best,
Mr. Rojas
Remember, we're in this together!

iReady Testing
Helpful Tips:
- Using iReady 30 minutes a day will help your child's test scores improve!
- Reading with your child helps them develop skills that are crucial for their test scores.
- When your child misses school, they miss out! The first way to help them succeed is by bringing them to school on time and ready to learn!
Covid-19 Update
If your student tests positive, please call the office to report the absence and notify the school.
Extra Precautions:
If a student returns to school after it has been reported that they are feeling better and they then develop/report the same or new symptoms, they will be sent home and must test again. Please ensure your child's health has improved significantly before they return to school.
Attendance and Daily Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
8:00am to 2:30pm
Thursday
8:00am to 12:15pm
Attendance
Please remember regular attendance is a crucial factor in the success of your child's education. Every day that is missed, important instructional minutes are also missed impacting your child's learning. Tardiness also effects how well your child does. Any student who is not in their classroom by 8:00am every day is considered tardy. Allowing students sufficient time to be prepared for the day is key!
If your child must miss school, please call the office at (760)735-3049 within 48 hours to report the absence.

The Safety Scoop!
Safety Tips of the Week:
1. Remember students can only enter or exit your car in the white zone!
2. Students should exit through the passenger side of your vehicle to avoid any danger!
3. Always use the crossing guard when crossing in our pick up zone. You may only cross in the blue crossing zone.
4. Student drop-off and pick- up should only be done in the solar panel parking lot. The second round-about is only for district buses, delivery trucks, and emergency vehicles.
5. Always follow the guidance of our staff on duty and our safety patrol leaders. They're here to make your drop off and pick up quick and safe!
