From the Principal's Desk
March 1, 2021
Greetings FWAFA Family,
I am so excited to announce that the month of March is Theatre in Our School month. Jackson Layton, FWAFA Thespian President, and Secretary Maya Michalski recently requested a proclamation from Mayor Betsy Price to name March as Theatre in Our Schools (TIOS) Month, a program promoted by the Educational Theatre Association.
A current Texas State Thespian Officer (STO), Jackson along with Maya have joined their fellow STOs across the state to have Theatre in our Schools Month declared in cities across Texas. With a goal of 10, the STOs now have proclamations in 13 cities.
Congratulations to Troupe 6391, Jackson Layton, and Maya Michalski, Chairs of FWAFa’s TIOS Committee for their advocacy of theatre in our schools!
I am so inspired when I see our students not only reach great heights in their arts and academics, but also apply their work as great leaders as well. Way to go!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson
