Students can arrive on campus anytime between 7:15-8:00. Below is a daily timeline:

7:15 - doors open for those who need an earlier drop-off

8:00 - students are dismissed to class from their respective holding areas

8:05 - tardy bell rings

4:00 - student dismissal

***Traffic will be congested with the amount of students on campus. Please be patient, slow down, and watch out for kids. Thanks for your help in keeping our students safe!!***

If your child is going to be absent for an entire day, you may submit an absence request in skyward. Below are the steps:

• Login to your family access
• Select your student
• Click on attendance
• Click "add absence request"
• Fill out all required information and make sure "all day" is selected
• Submit

All other absence types (coming in late, checking out early, etc) can be taken care of in the office.

***Remember that all doctors notes must be received within 48 hours of the absence. Your child can bring a physical copy or you may email a copy to lbmsattendance@lcisd.net.

All students will need to have their picture taken. The picture will be used for the yearbook, creating student ID's if needed, and used as their profile in our digital data system.

In order to have a picture taken, students will need to be in dress code.

As stated in the district dress code policy, please make sure your student adheres to these guidelines, and all others, when attending school each day.

• Hair is neatly kept and out of the student's face
• Hair is of a natural color
• Students may have facial hair, but must be well groomed
• All students can have ear piercings and/or a single nostril piercing
• Shoulder straps must be at least three inches in width
• Shirts cannot depict pictures, emblems, or writings that are lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene
• Shirts cannot advertise tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or any other substances prohibited under policy FNCF

Please click on the photos below for the LCISD guidelines for dress code. Dress code will be enforced daily and will begin on the first day of school. Please help us avoid any unnecessary frustration by preparing your child accordingly.

Most common issues returning from the summer:

Hair color - must be a naturally occurring color

Holes in jeans that are above the approved hemline (3 fingers above the knee)

Shorts/skirts/etc. that are cut too short

Tank tops or other cut-off shirts that don't meet guidelines

Once students enter the school building, they will be asked to put their cell phones up and stay off of them for the remainder of the day. Failure to due so can result in the phone being taken up, delivered to the office, and retrievable for a fee of $15. This is an LCISD policy. If you need to get in contact with your child, please call the office and we will help get you connected. We appreciate your help in addressing this expectation with your child and helping us avoid unnecessary frustration.

Parents/Guardians may bring a lunch for their students. Lunches can be dropped off in the front office and students will be allowed to pick-up their food when they are dismissed for lunch.

**Due to security concerns, no outside entity (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Favor, Pizza delivery, Chick-Fil-A, etc.) will be allowed to drop off lunches for students. Lunches delivered in this way to students will not be accepted and will be turned away.

August 28

5:00-6:00 pm

Students will have the opportunity to lead their families around campus to meet their teachers. Feel free to come and go as you please. We look forward to seeing you!

LBMS PTO is excited for the 2023-24 school year. We have some exciting new things in the works! If you would like to be involved and support your child’s school then come see what we’re all about.
Our first meeting is on Monday August 21st @ 6pm in the LBMS Cafeteria.

All students involved in 6th grade pre-athletics or 7th/8th grade athletics need to have an updated physical on file. Before any athlete can practice or tryout, they must have a completed physical. There is a form linked that you can print off and take to your doctor if need be.

6th graders in pre-athletics

You will need to submit a "hard copy" of your physical to your coach.

7th and 8th graders in athletics

Rank One online forms must be finished ASAP. If you already have an account, simply login or use the "lost password" feature. You can upload your physical into Rank One. Instructions are in a file attachment below.

***You only need to upload the side of the form with the physician signature. The medical history side of the form will be completed in an electronic format on a following page.***

Needed - Golf clubs, sunscreen, water jug, hat/cap, bug spray, etc

Tennis tryouts for anyone 7/8th grader that is not currently enrolled in tennis will be Thursday, 8/24/2023 after school starting at 4:15 PM. Each individual will be asked to perform serves, volleys, forehands and backhands. Please bring a racket and a water bottle. The tryout will be finished by 5:15 PM. Students must have a physical on file to try out.
