Arrival and Dismissal Instructions

Please note that NO drop-offs or arrivals to the school are allowed prior to 8am. This school year will follow the same arrival and dismissal traffic flow procedures, as we did last year. Students may be dropped off to school starting at 8am, where we have staff available for supervision of students. Students will go directly into their classrooms upon arrival.


Please review the pictures below to help with an understanding of traffic flow for arrival and dismissal, as well as general traffic information related to buses.


The lane to the west of the school is a one-way only lane (see picture #3) where traffic may come through and exit right onto Fifer St. There are times when school buses will utilize this lane for drop-off/pick-up and cars will not be permitted to pass during these times. Please follow the simple instructions posted in the pictures below so that we can establish and maintain an efficient, safe, and timely arrival and departure system.

Activity Passes

Do you want an activity pass for your student to attend CUSD #205 home activities and athletic events free of charge? If so, you will need to request an activity pass. Please contact the school office at 309-973-2015 to request an activity pass. Once passes are provided to the school the office will distribute passes to those who have requested them.

Silas PTO is coming back in 2022!

Silas Willard has had a very active PTO over the years. Meetings are held monthly in the library. All parents are welcome & encouraged to attend meetings to get involved in such activities as: Book Fairs, Family Nights, Ice Cream Social, and more. Every Silas Willard parent is welcome to attend these meetings and events! Please stay posted for more information!
