RCE Family Update

We have lots to celebrate in 2025!

• Our winter iReady test results show we're on a great track, leading the district in all areas!
• The band led the district with 47 students selected to All-County (8 first chairs), 35 to All-Region, and 21 All-State call backs! This is #1 in our region and #2 in the state.
• Our chorus had 36 students selected to All-County and 7 students were selected to the State Honor Choir!
• Basketball teams are heading into the playoffs this week, with both 7th grade teams hosting home games on Monday, 2/3!
• Soon, we will welcome our rising 6th graders on campus and meet a new group of future Panthers!

All students will have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing on March 12th. Students will be required to obtain permission to shadow from a supervising adult and complete a reflection of the day to get counted as present for the school day. Additional information will be sent home with your student. If you need more information contact the main office at 864-397-4200.

Any 8th graders interested in participating in JROTC at Daniel next school year? You will have the opportunity to sign up for a FlexTime session to learn more. Be on the lookout for this opportunity in early February.

JROTC at Daniel High – More Than an Elective!

As I wrap up my first year as an instructor, I invite you to consider JROTC for your future high school student. Starting next year, JROTC will be recognized as a Career and Technology Education certification course in Leadership and Management Skills.We're also expanding our program with an FAA-certified flight simulator to boost aviation enthusiasm and launching our first year in Aerial Drone Competitions.
