Week One and Two Are in the Books

We are heading into week three of the school year. We have been pleased with how the school year has started. Students and staff have hit the ground running. We have been teaching our ROAR (Respect, Ownership, Attitude, and Responsibility) expectations, completing FAST assessments (ELA and math assessments that we take three times a year to help us identify academic needs), and building strong, caring relationships with our students to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in our building. Thank you for trusting us to teach and work with your children. We have started the year on the right foot and that will help us have a great school year.

We are here to help and support, however we can. Your children are important to us and we want nothing but the best for them. As is always the case, please reach out to use if you have any concerns or questions.

Fall School Pictures

Our school pictures will be taken on Thursday, September 29. The ordering process will be done online this year. A link with more information will come later in the month.

Labor Day - No School on Monday, September 5

We will not have school on Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the three day weekend!

Fredbird Assembly was a success

Last Friday (August 26), Ed Wheatley, the author of the book Incredible Cardinals, visited our building and went into detail about how he wrote the book. It was the first time in years that the whole building was able to come together for an assembly. While Mr. Wheatley read his book to us, Fredbird showed up to hype up the crowd. Students were able to get pictures and interact with Fredbird. It was a great way to end of our first week of school with our students.

Mark your calendars - PTO meeting on September 12

Our first PTO meeting will be held on Monday, September 12. The meeting will be in our library and will start at 5:30. Anyone is welcome to join. Our main focus will be planning for the fall festival that takes place in October.

New Staff Members to Central Elementary

We are excited to introduce our 11 new staff members at Central Elementary. All of them bring a great skill set with them to their positions. We are happy they are on our Central Elementary Team!
