Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary

We are already in December and winter break is coming up soon! We have definitely entered our winter weather season, so with that in mind I wanted to give a few reminders. The parking lot is always very busy and crowded. Please make sure to take even MORE caution when picking up and dropping off your students. Also, in this weather we can't always count on the roads being safe for travel to school, the district will get communication out to families by 6 am if there is a change to the school day.

At the Elementary this month, our focus of the month has been Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is by understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings. Students will be practicing empathy throughout the month and will also be earning Gotchas' when "caught" practicing empathy.

We will continue our monthly Gotcha' Assemblies towards the beginning of every month and weekly Gotcha' Winners every Friday!

We will start the food drive on Monday, December 12 and finish on Tuesday, December 20 when all the food/supplies will be delivered to HopeSource.

Student Leadership from the elementary will decorate boxes to collect the food/supplies in. Each grade level will have their own box. Student leadership will also be promoting this throughout the building by making signs to hang around!

Below is information on HopeSource as well as what items they could use as donations!

Come join us for our winter concert on December 15th from 6:30-7:30. Doors will open at 6 o'clock. Please drop your students off at their classrooms at 6:10. Students will be in their classrooms until their grade level performance. After the concert has ended please wait until your student has returned to their classroom and check them out through their teacher!

Friday, December 16th from 5-7 pm in the Multipurpose Room. There will be 20 different crafts. Each craft is $1 and all proceeds will benefit BAM (Because Art Matters) and the Education Foundation for Cle Elum-Roslyn. Food will be available for purchase provided by our Watch D.O.G.s!

Student Drop off begins at 7:45. Student Pick up is at 2:55 on Monday - Thursday, and 1:55 on Fridays.

Please drive slowly through the parking lot, drop off and pick up times are extremely busy and can be slick.
