6th Grade Academy

We are delighted to invite all incoming 6th grade students to attend the 6th Grade Academy on August 8th from 9am to 12pm. Students will enter through the main doors and then rotate through several stations to participate in Math & Science activities, learn about middle school expectations, meet 6th grade teachers, and much more!

NEW & RETURNING STUDENT ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

Students and their parents will be able to obtain their class schedules, meet their teachers, and tour the building.


Parents, we invite you to the library to learn more about Schoology, grading, and student expectations. Staff will be on hand to help you login to our online grading program to keep track of your student's progress.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AUGUST 21st!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year! Students may enter the building between 7:15-7:30am. Just a reminder that students entering after 7:35am will be considered tardy to school.

Transporting Your Student to & from School?

Parents/ Guardians who are bringing their students to school should enter into the Martinsburg/Berkeley County Recreation Center parking lot from Woodbury Avenue and slowly drive straight toward the school via the access road parallel to Athletic Street.

**PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT FOR DROP-OFF SINCE THIS TAKES OUR LIMITED PARKING SPOTS AWAY FROM TEACHERS TRYING TO COME TO WORK.

Don't Forget Your School Supplies!

Tax free school shopping days are August 4-7 in WV! Take advantage of this opportunity to help your student be prepared for school! CLICK HERE for a list of suggested school supplies (FYI- some teachers may require additional supplies).

Be ready to update your contact information!

We will not be using Family ID this year. Changes and updates to student information will be provided through a different online format in August. Please be looking for more information on these online forms at the beginning of the school year! It is VERY IMPORTANT that the school has reliable parent contact information in case of an emergency!
