Hi Sierra Families

A BIG thank you to TEAM Sierra and our families for spoiling the staff at Sierra School this week during Staff Appreciation Week. We all do what we do because we love this school, and we love our students, but it always feels good to be acknowledged. Thank you for the notes, flowers, snacks, gifts, and food that you provided this week! This school truly is a special place because of our relationships with our students and families.

We are so proud of the 3 teams who represented Sierra School at the El Dorado County Spelling Bee today. You all did amazing! Special shout out to our 5th grade team who took 3rd place in Division III. Thank you to Mr. Anschutz, Ms. Bri, and Mrs. Sturgeon for being such fantastic spelling bee coaches. Congratulations and a job well done to all of our spellers!

Toys (including trading cards) and balls (football, soccer, basketball, etc) are not allowed at school. Please remind your student to keeps these items at home, as we've seen an uptick of these items out at recess and in class.

Hello Dragons!

The LITERATI book fair is here! Sales will begin Monday May 15 and run until Friday the 19th. We will be open for sales every morning at 8:30-8:45, morning recesses, 4th/5th lunch recess, and after school till 2:30 on Monday and 3:30 Tues-Fri. We will also be open during Open House on May 18th from 5-7. Lots of great books to choose from! Also, all books are due back or paid for on May 12th. The first class of each grade level will earn brownies from Miss Dora! Please help get books returned so we can get an inventory of what is missing at the end of school. This will help us have a smooth start to the next school year. Please consider purchasing a gift card for your student to use at the book fair.
