SAVE THE DATE: Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on Thursday 11/16 (NOON DISMISSAL) and Friday 11/17 (NO SCHOOL).You may sign up for conferences via Option C.

In honor of Veteran's Day we will be collecting donations of new adult size sweatpants for "Sweats for Vets!" Also, to show love to our service men and women who have been deployed overseas we will be making cards/writing letters and collecting any donations of candy or individually packaged snacks. Please have these donations in by Friday!

Student Council is also sponsoring a Thanksgiving Bags Service Project. Please see below for details.

Thank you all who participated with trunks and trick-or-treaters in the 3rd annual SKS Trunk-or-treat on Sunday. The trunks were the best yet and the Radnor police brought a big surprise with their haunted trailer trunk and skeleton police motorcycle! Winners for the trunk contest were selected based on a near random sample of 20 adult voters at Trunk-or Treat:

1st place: The Sturm family's castle trunk (gift card + blue & white passes)
2nd place: The Burrell family's Christmas trunk (blue & white passes)
3rd: The Ercole family's Eagle trunk (blue & white passes)

Last week your child brought home a letter from our school counselors, Kate Hendrickson and Jessica Ryan about a month long celebration of Kindness at SKS. A copy of the letter is below. Suggestions for acts of kindness and a writing activity were also sent home with the letter. We look forward to showcasing all of the ways we can show kindness to each other each day and look forward to a Buddy Bingo day in mid-November.

Monday November 6th from 7 - 8:30 PM in the parish center. Food and drinks will be provided.

We encourage everyone to attend but if you are a coach or plan to coach in the future your attendance at this workshop is expected. Positive Coaching Alliance is a national nonprofit organization that provides workshops, as well as on line tools, to assist organizations, coaches, and parents in giving youth athletes a positive character building youth sports experience.

Dear SKS Families,

On Monday November 13th, our district nurses will be conducting annual Health Screenings at school. Students will attend the screenings with their classmates. If your child wears glasses it is important that they bring them to the screening. They will not be required to change clothes.

Some children may feel a sense of apprehension or unease about screenings such as these. Please reassure your children that their information is private and we are here to help ease any anxiety.

During this season of gratitude, I am so thankful for the supportive families in our SKS community. I am also grateful for the students' enthusiasm for learning each day and the acts of kindness they share with each other and our faculty.
